The Country Gardens Club

The Country Gardens Club, located in Lake Oswego, Oregon, is a non-profit private social club dedicated to bringing together garden enthusiasts of all levels. Since the founding of the club in 1949, we have been dedicated to fostering a love of gardening, protecting and preserving our environment and taking pride in our civic duty by contributing to our community.

What We Do

  • We meet the first Thursday of the month at 10:30 am 

  • Our 43 active club members have access to expert advice, workshops, social events and opportunities to contribute to local community gardens.

  • We provide annual scholarships to horticulture/agriculture students at Clackamas Community and Portland Community Colleges

  • Our club flower is the Trillium, and our club shrub is Hydrangea

Our Projects

We are financial supporters of:

  • Clackamas Community College Scholarship program

  • Portland Community College Foundation Scholarship program

  • Lake Oswego Chamber of Commerce Village Flower Baskets

  • Lake Oswego Preservation Society

  • Lakewood Center for the Arts

  • Oswego Heritage House

  • The Roberson Clematis Garden at Luscher Farms

We also provide:

  • ​ A wreath for the memorial day celebration at the Blue Star Memorial at FootHills Park

  • Hands on gardening for the  Preservation Society at the Iron Workers Cottage Museum, a Backyard Bird Habitat Garden
